Chief of Police

Message from the Chief

As we strive to work together to reduce crime and improve the quality of life in Taylortown, you will also notice we will be providing regular updates of the latest law enforcement news and information in this news letter. Our focus is to ensure the information provided will assist our residents in becoming more knowledgeable about what is occurring in the neighborhoods. Through our community policing partnerships and information sharing, we can work together to heighten public awareness, because a knowledgeable community is a safer community.

With challenges to law enforcement continually escalating, TPD personnel work tirelessly to achieve the desired levels of safety for Taylortown's residents, workers and visitors. Accordingly, the collaborative efforts of our employees are vital to the effectiveness of the department in achieving its public safety mission. Collaboration between officers and citizens combined with the partnerships formed among citizens, the police department and other city's agencies under our community policing umbrella continue to yield positive results. By involving the communities and other stakeholders, we are gaining ground in our goal of eliminating crime "hot spots."

As we enter the holiday season, I would like to remind citizens to be vigilant of your surroundings.   Remember to report and suspicious activity to the Police Department.  Officers will continue to participate in the Governors Highway Safety Program.  The following campaigns have been scheduled over the holiday season:

  • No Need to Speed
  • Booze It or Lose It
  • Click It or Ticket It

Once again, I would like to wish all citizens a safe and happy holiday season.
